On Apr 27th ROSPHOTO opened a new exhibition “Ballet Russe” featuring unique photos from the collection of well-known historian of fashion Alexander Vassiliev. The exhibition brings together about 200 rare photographs previously little published in Russia. It shows the legendary stars of Diaghilev’s Ballet Russe, such as Anna Pavlova and Tamara Karsavina, as well as Russian ballet stars from the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Many photos are signed by celebrated ballet dancers. The visitors will see the autographs of Dyagilev Ballet dancers: Valentina Kashuba, Anatoly Vilzack, Alexandra Danilova, the soloists of the Imperial Mariinsky Theatre Alisa Vronskaya, Irina Baronova, Tatyana Ryabushinskaya, Tamara Grigoryeva, Tatyana Leskova and many others.
