Alexander Nevsky Monastery displays monumental sculpture and tombstones, since the 18th century many eminent figures of Russian science and culture (Dostoyevsky, Tchaikovsky, Glinka) and representatives of the Russian aristocracy have been buried in the Necropolis or cemetery adjoining the monastery.
